दुनिया भर में बढ़ते plastic pollution को नियंत्रित करने के लिए चल रही global treaty negotiations के बीच एक बड़ा diplomatic और environmental विवाद सामने आया है। Norway ने United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) की funding को अस्थायी रूप से hold पर डाल दिया है, जिसके बाद international plastic pollution treaty process को लेकर uncertainty बढ़ गई है।
